sorry to have been not very regular of late.
not a problem with my bowels you understand but rather a heavy time at work.
that, coupled with the fact that i am now going hell for leather to get my first book published.
oddly, or perhaps not, in light of the world we live in, whether my writing is good or not doesn't seem to matter much as the only concern that the uk publishers and literary agents seem to care about is if it is commercial or not. that and can the author produce a string of similar books.
i think the answer to both is yes.
The Village Tales of Fekenham swarberry is my parallel world England. there is no Britain but instead an island collective known as Albion. there are airships and canals and high speed railway lines. the local vicar, Elvis Linkthorpe, smokes weed and desires the local barmaid. there are a host of cartoonishly named individuals from Ethel Blowvalve to Brigadier Largepiece, from Major Lillycrap to Ralph Ramhard.
it is an unlikely england that tastes of a time long gone and a time still to happen.

largely influenced by Los Bros Hernadez who created Love and Rockets back in the 80's, Ivor Cutler, Viv Stanshall and Dave Sim. with bits of dylan Thomas's Under Milk Wood.

i think it has huge potential (i know my head is getting big but my boots are firmly on the ground) but it is still case of getting the manuscripts into order. this means some serious hard work in terms of re-evaluing all that i have ever writen for the series, being self crtical and making some very major changes. this is another reason that i am not posting as much as i used to.
