Well said, Ruela!

and it has changed now...
but still, it isn't us. if it was a slideshow of things we'd done, i'd approve, but like this, nah.

Russell CJ Duffy said...

guess we should have a vote on it.

I'm with Lazare...

i don't mind it at all, in fact the current one i like. the only issue i have with whoever put it up there in the first place is...it would have been nice to be asked what we all thought before just doing it.

i vote to keep it.

i am still determining my location in discharge as a new element and i wouldn't dare to take that initiative specially without asking.
i don't mind the idea of a slideshow running on the side.

Ruela said...

yes Tictac :)

a collective slideshow running on the side.

this one seems like a bunch random images on google, i'd like to see a collection of some stuff on here but it's fine i like the xrays in this one, and i'd say if i did it but not meee

yeah, i kinda don't like it so much...it'd be great, as others have said, if it were images from dischargers, but...dark faeries and anime-ish angels? dunno.

the idea of a slide show is brilliant. no doubt. i agree with the general feeling about the content..having so much creative talent and so many original ideas in the house it is nicer when the material comes from discharge and not from google...so to keep discharge's trade mark.
then, i am sure more and more new ideas will emerge..art feeds more art.

Russell CJ Duffy said...

can we not change it to be more discharge representative?

in fairness, who ever did this, did it with good intentions and i think it may have been sharada. i don't know this but it feels as though it might be she.

i think the idea is good so let us keep but change it to suit.

aaron, can you do this for us?

Aaron Held said...

hey i could any creative input would be nice, like visual stuff will be easy but i don't want to leave out the writers anyway we can get them into a sideshow with something? luckily most do visual to.

and if any of you have suggestions for pieces to put in send an email to titheruck@gmail.com, you can send me the file, or the title and i can look it up on here. thanks

aaron

random folk here, random folk there. Discharge work would look fantastic as a slide show!! I'm not afraid to diss our current one.

thank you, aaron!

i know i am being contentious BUT is not the current slideshow the 'art' of whoever is putting it up there?
i see that it has changed again today.

Aaron Held said...

no hahah i was fooling around with it the other day all it is you say a keyword and random images from whatever source you put(flickr, photobucket) come up. i tried to find a good word in the meantime but nothing good it be a few good images rest really dumb, so i left it as the last put which was dark angels, don't know who changed it to the new one.

when i was at school, senior school that is, i had a headmaster named walden.
being the sort of person that i am i was always introuble, not for doing anything particularly bad but always in trouble nonetheless.
on one occassion, after a lenghty dressing down by mister walden he turned to me and said..
"i will be keeping an eye on you so be careful"
unfortunately, mister walden had one glass eye which often sat in his socket at a different angle to the other one. this was an opportunity to good to miss...
"which one sir?"
god did i suffer for that!!

yes it seems he was a victim of setting ones self up. I've seen this sort of thing before. To be quite honest missing the oppurtunity reequires a discipline they dont teach at school.
