i thought
and still think it was a brilliant blog concept

i wanted something darker. more provocative. more in your face and i very much wanted to work with Doriandra Smith.

at first there was just the two of us.

doriandra and cocaine jesus but it soon became apparent that we work at very different speeds. i write at a non stop rate (mostly drivel) whilst doriandra writes when she feels like it.
realising how selfish i was being expecting someone else to write like me i then invited others to join discharge.

at this point it was still very much a prose/poem/quote driven vehicle. there were irregular bits of visual art but not vey often

IV left for reasons unknown to me. i asked Lilith to leave and to contribute to another team site.

in MAY 2006
stickleback arrived with pictures and photos and collages and some really incredible visual art. discharge mutated.

it was obvious at this point that discharge was a very organic beast.

summer 2006 and Porcelain Skull and Killer Luca joined.

both with huge talent. both very different.

provocation and elegance in heathen values.

now we were
doriandra. cocaine jesus. raven. inkblot. stickleback2. porcelain skull. killer luca.

seven.

a very significant number.

but things here, as i have already said, are in a constant state of flux.

inkblot went
and Doctor Anthony came with his surreal and erotic eye
and also Molly Bloom with her words that dance.

discharge mutated again and i now knew that i did not want an ever growing membership but one that was reasonably small and one that could inter react with each other even create together. after all, no other site has teams within teams co-creating.

sadly Molly couldn't stay. there were things to do. things to do.

then we were seven

but that constant pulse for change brought in Peter Ciccareillo, Thierry Tillier and the glorious Little Shiva and Matina.

now, JANUARY 2007, we are eleven.

things will change again though. at discharge they always do.
